Every state has unique licensing requirements, depending on the type of buyer and the type of vehicle (clean titled or salvage). Therefore, it’s essential to read up on these stipulations before attempting to bid on anything found on CrashedToys.com.
In Kansas, dealers, dismantlers, general businesses and exporters will need to provide CrashedToys an operational license, a sales tax license and sales tax exemption forms.
The Kansas Department of Revenue issues dealer licenses (New & Used Vehicle Dealer and Wholesale Dealer licenses) and the dismantler license (Salvage Vehicle Dealer License). Your local municipality can set you up with a business license.
You can get your Retailers’ Sales Tax Registration Certificate from the Kansas Department of Revenue. Wholesalers may submit Form ST-28M in place of the sales tax license.

Private individuals buying in Kansas may purchase salvage items on their own but will need to go through a Broker for all clean titled vehicles, as well as for boats, jet skis and snowmobiles.
