What could be more frustrating than finding that “diamond in the rough” vehicle – and then realizing it requires licenses you don’t have? At CrashedToys, we do our best to give you licensing information up front. So when it comes time to bid and buy, you’re ready to dominate the auction.
Every state and province has unique licensing requirements, depending on the type of buyer and the type of vehicle (clean titled or salvage). Therefore, it’s essential to read up on these stipulations before attempting to bid on anything found on CrashedToys.com.
In Ontario, dealers, dismantlers, general businesses and exporters will need to provide CrashedToys an operational license and sales tax exemption forms. Operational licenses include dealer licenses (General or Wholesaler) issued by the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council and business licenses issued by ServiceOntario and your local municipality.
These links will provide the forms and information you need to get started with licensing:
Additionally, please complete the following forms and fax them back to CrashedToys’s Licensing Department at (800) 787-8650. These documents will be processed within one to two business days of receipt.
Private individuals buying in Ontario will need to go through a Broker for all clean titled and salvage items, as well as for boats, jet skis and snowmobiles.
